So, the first day of World Cup was officially the busiest day on the
Internet in history!

A great deal of that traffic was on Twitter and if you use Twitter you
probably have
been seeing a lot of “The Fail Whale” meaning Twitter is over
capacity. I’ve seen
that several times, but today I something new and SCARY for the first time…

All my Tweets are… GONE ! ! ! One of my 5,000+ followers on there was the first to tell me, and I quote…
“Dude, all your tweets are gone.”

I figured it was probably just that Twitter was down until I checked
and saw Twitter
was up, but my page: http://Twitter.com/TonyMichael was completely BLANK! So I tried everything in my limited “techie” knowledge base. I tried
clearing cache,
clearing cookies, opening the page in 3 different browsers, and… nothing.

They’re ALL gone. All 6,000+ posts I’ve had in the almost 2 years I’ve
been on there. So I went to the Twitter Blog and saw this:

Some users are noting inconsistencies in tweet counts. This is purely
a display issue
and the tweets are not lost or missing. We are working to fix this
underlying problem with counts.
